My Photo Shoot Process

What you can expect…

1. Introductions & Preparation
We begin with a free introductory consultation. I work to understand your goals and to make sure that my work style is the right one for you. If you are interested, we review an outline of my services as well as the payment, rescheduling, and cancellation policies included in my Photo Shoot Agreement.

To book the photo shoot, a signed agreement and a 50% deposit is required.

Once booked, you will receive my photo shoot questionnaire and prep sheet for us to review together. This will help us to clarify the looks or character types that you want captured in your headshots, and plan your wardrobe options. As the day approaches, we review details, and address any outstanding questions or concerns.

2. The Photo Shoot
You arrive rested, prepared, and ready to have some fun! If planned ahead, we start with hair and make-up. Wardrobe decisions are also made. Then we shoot until we get the desired results for each look in the scheduled time.

Your headshot shoot will be like a day on the set. We will record honest moments in time where you can use your acting skills for a series of still images.

The best photos will happen when you are relaxed and enjoy the session!

3. Your Headshot Package
I study all images and select my top choices for headshots. All images are rated, color corrected, cropped, and prepared for delivery. You then receive a PDF proof sheet as well as digital files of each image through a file sharing program or CD.

The final step is to select one photo for basic retouching, which includes skin, hair, and eyes. (Changes to background settings are not included.) You receive the final retouched image(s) in a digital format for print and web.
